We have just launched our TMD Network series of on-line learning units for S/NVQ Assessors and Verifiers for CPD (Continuous Professional Development). Each one of these 6 units - all mapped into the National standards - (3 for assessors and 3 for verifiers) can be used as evidence of a continuous professional development activity for accredited assessors and verifiers. The 6 Units are,
- Fair Access to Assessment
- Methods of Assessment
- Feedback & Disputes
- Supporting Assessors
- Internal Quality Assurance
- Development of Assessors
Each unit has an introduction to using the site and is clearly sign-posted the whole way through as to how to use the materials and submit your work. The units willl have a general introduction to the theme and then some warm-up activities - before moving on to the formal part.
Learners will be required to undertake 3 separate activities around the theme of the unit and submit their work for written feedback. This is all done electronically. Their submitted activities are "assessed by someone who is an accredited assessor with current occupational competence in Learning & Development. Feedback is returned electronically to the candidate and they can print this out if they choose. A formal certificate of achievement is then sent out.
