Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is now a requirement of the national occupational standards for NVQ assessors and internal verifiers - it is no longer an option.
It is essential that assessors and verifiers continually develop their practice and don't become fixed in a "time-warp". Occupational standards in all areas are constantly revised and we need to ensure as assessors and verifiers we keep ourselves up to date.
